My first blog: what is the plan?

So, I want to write my first blog. I have never done this before, so I don’t really know how to start. The reason I created this blog section is because I really want to share with you what keeps me busy nowadays. I’m starting a new band, and I’m really excited about it!
As many of you know, I recently quit the band Delain. This was a really hard decision, not only for me, but also for the guys in the band. It was not only me who felt that our time together had come to an end. I had been unhappy for a couple of months already, and everybody in the band and in the crew had picked up on that. So we all thought it was better that I followed another dream. The reason I was unhappy was fairly simple: I just did not feel comfortable with the way the band was going, and I didn’t agree with some of the choices that were made. Not that I think they were the wrong choices, but they were just not the choices I would make.
Then of course there was my musical taste, which began to change very rapidly. I really loved the music we created when we created it, and I think the songs are great, all of them. It’s just that I got tired of the symphonic and orchestral sound, which I had made for so long. I wanted to get back to the roots of rock music. Get back to simple songs that make you feel great about yourself!
So I picked up on writing that kind of songs, and it went amazingly! The songs just kept coming to me! They made me feel so alive, and so happy. I finally had the musical vibe back that I had been missing for a long time.
I did not write the songs all by myself. Of course I’m not the only one in my band. There are 3 other guys I’m not going to tell you yet who these guys are, because that it still a surprise! I will reveal the band members during the coming weeks, one at a time. I will also reveal the name of the band during this time.
My main goal with the band is to create an album that makes people smile, sing and feel great! And the shows that we’re gonna so should be real parties, every last one of them! So stick with me, and check this website every now and then! You will not be disappointed!
