ABOUT ME
My name is Ronald Alexander Landa, and I was born in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, on January 4th 1983. That makes me 27 years old as I write this.
My interest in music started when I was a very young kid. I used to be fascinated by everything or everyone that could make music. I used to sit by the radio with my finger on the record button, and record every song I liked. I ended up with a lot of tapes full of half songs! Whenever I could get my hands on a piano or a keyboard, I would play it even though I couldn't.
I seriously started to play instruments when I got to high school. My school had a special room full of various instruments for students like me, who liked to learn to play an instrument, and when I was 12 years old, I picked up the guitar. And after bugging my mother long enough, she finally gave in, and bought me my first accoustic guitar! It was the happiest day of my life ;-)
It was also in high school that I started my first band. I actually was the singer in that band. We used to play The Beatles, Roy Orbison and many other artists. I played my first show, in front of 500 parents, teachers, classmates and schoolmates, and I was addicted!
So I went on playing in that highschool band until I discovered bands like Metallica, Sepultura and so on. I loved the sound, I loved the lyrics and I loved the intensiveness of the music. From that moment on I played rockmusic exclusively.
I played in a couple of bands before I joined Delain, and learned a lot with every one of them. Now it's time to rock out the way I want to, and that's what I'm going to do! I'll keep you updated!
