HANGOVER HERO

We are very happy to announce the name of our new band: Hangover Hero!!! Ok, actually withouth the exclamation marks, but for the occasion we just wanted to put some emphasis on it. We could have used capital letters as well, but thought this was way way way better. Anyway, there's a lot in the works at the moment, we recently recorded a promo at the Gate Studio in Germany and Sascha is doing some final changes to the mastering as we speak. As soon as the master is finished we are going to send out the promo to some recordlabels so we can get rich and famous ;-) We'll keep you up to date. Ow, and to replace all the pictures of your loved ones in your wallet (what's up with that anyway), here's a nice picture of us trying to look cool.

The promo recordings are going great! We are all very excited about working together, and about working with Sascha. We can't wait to do the whole album here!

MATS VAN DER VALK

Hi all!
 
It's time to tell you who is going to be the bassplayer of the band! There
has  been a lot of speculation about who is going to pick up the bass.
Well,
it's Mats van der Valk, who is widely known for his guitar playing in
the band Autumn! Excuse me? A guitar player who is going to play
bass?
Hell yeah! This man is a great instrumentalist, who is master of many
instruments. Guitar, bass, drums, it doesn't matter for Mats! We are
very excited about this, and we welcome Mats to the group.

Hello people,
I’m Mats van der Valk. Allround rockmusician and Ford Mustang driver. Currently I play guitars in Autumn, and I’mbehind the drums with Dejafuse.

I had met all the guys in this line-up seperately on several occasions, and always thought they were the right men for just abouta ny job in the heavy genre.  And they’re pleasant company as well.
At MFVF 2009, Ronald had asked me if I wanted to listen to some of his own songs.  Just for the hell of it. So, when he (finally) sent them to me some months later, I was pleasantly surprised by the music, and even more by his request for me to complete the band!
We already had a great rehearsal, and I’m pretty confident we can conjure up something nice for you to stomp your feet, and bang your heads to.

Hi all!

We are very excited to tell you about our drummer! It's the one and only Andre Borgman, who you all know from After Forever! We couldn't have wished for a better drummer for the job! We have already written some killer material together, and Andre really took the songs to a higher level! We can't wait to enter the rehearsal room and the studio with him! Hi guys!

I'm really excited to tell you all who the guitar player of my new band is! It's Ad Sluijter! You all know him from his years with Epica. I couldn't wish for a better musician to work with! I can tell you a lot about how cool it is to finally work with him, but Ad's statement says it all :-)

Hope you are all doing fine. I got some pretty exciting news for you guys, oh well at least I'm really excited;-) I formed a new band together with Ronald Landa (who you all know from his work with Delain). I've known Ronald for quite some years now, I did some guest appearances with Delain, Ronald did a guest appearance with Epica and throughout those years we became really good friends. We actually talked about forming a band together for a while already, but as with a lot of things, you talk and talk and talk about it and nothing happens haha. But when Ronald decided to leave Delain we decided to just sit down and write some music together, just to see where it would bring us. Without even having talked about a direction we wanted to go in we just threw ideas at each other and ended up writing like 3 songs together. Wow, I really can't remember the last time I was excited like I am right now. We just have this great vibe together so I'm really looking forward to finishing all the songs and releasing them on an album. Just a small update in between to let you all know: The Ronald Landa on Facebook IS NOT ME! I really don't know why somebody would want to pretend he or she is me, but hey, even stranger things happen!
